Buying and Selling with Covet is better than Vinted

7 reasons why buying and selling through Covet Clothing is much better than that ‘other’ preloved clothing site.

Better than the rest

7 Valid Reasons Why Buying and Selling with Covet is better than using Vinted.

Yeah, we get it. What’s the point buying and selling through Covet when I can just use Vinted. After all, everyone uses Vinted don’t they? Well here’s 7 very valid reasons why buying and selling through Covet Clothing is much better than doing the same through Vinted.

  1. Covet Clothing offer refunds and returns. Vinted offer neither unless it’s damaged or misleading.
It’s a bit of a wild west when you buy with Vinted. There’s nothing more annoying than getting that wonderful new top at a rock-bottom price then trying it on and it either doesn’t fit or looks like a complete dog’s dinner. Want to send it back? Tough, it’s your problem now and the only thing you can do is hopefully sell it onto the next mug. Which means taking pictures, having to advertise it yourself and hopefully waiting for someone to purchase it.

Covet offers you a full refund (minus delivery costs) within 30 days of you receiving the item. We don’t care about the reason, but we do care about you and we want you to buy with confidence!

  2. All the items Covet sells have already been checked and approved for quality and condition.
We don’t sell anything that isn’t of the highest quality. Every item we sell will be perfect or near perfect. Covet Clothing has a very strict quality check before we sell anything. With Vinted, well… you’ll have to trust the seller’s word for it and the single dimly lit photo you’ve been provided

  3. Selling with Covet takes no effort whatsoever.
Should you sell your preloved gear with Covet you just need to make sure it’s clean, in excellent condition, still has the tags and hasn’t been modified in any way, then just send us the items and we’ll do the rest.

You don’t need to worry about modelling the item and taking photos, picking a price, wording the whole thing correctly so the item is seen by the right people, any delivery costs and finally finding somewhere to drop it off for delivery. If you’re selling with Vinted, good luck doing all that. Sell a lot of gear and it can be quite a time consuming effort just decluttering.

  4. Covet sells only genuine clothing and accessories. Absolutely no fakes.
If we say that an item is a particular brand, then it’s that brand. If we sold you something that isn’t what we said it was, we could get into trouble with the trades description act. Vinted pass all that hassle onto their users so they don’t need the liability for proving something is genuine. So when you buy those beautiful designer jeans then it’s all down to that magic word again: ‘Trust’. How well do you trust someone you’ll never meet.

  5. Fast delivery.
When you buy something on Vinted, the seller has 5 working days to send the item. If the item doesn’t arrived for whatever reason it will take you, the buyer, another 5 days to get your money back from Vinted. In today’s age of rapid delivery are you still happy having to wait a week for an online purchase? Neither are we. Covet aims for delivery to your door within 48 hours of purchase. If you need a refund they will be processed within 3 days.

  6. Beware of dishonest sellers.
It’s a sad fact that when the user is both the buyer and seller on a website or app then a very small percentage may not have your best interests at heart. Here’s what’s happened to us: We’ve bought items on Vinted, paid online then suddenly the seller is banned by Vinted. It took us nearly 3 weeks and a lot of lost time chasing a refund from Vinted. Buyer beware, indeed!

  7. Our sizing is accurate and honest.
On Vinted, it’s all about what the label says. We bought a jumper that was a size 6. It arrived and had clearly been shrunk, in fact it wouldn’t have fitted a small child. When we complained to the Seller, she told us the label said size 6, so it’s size 6. That was that. No argument, no rebuttal. It’s all about the label and the jumper is our problem now. At Covet our sizing is helpful and descriptive. If the label says 10 but it feels like an 8, then we’ll say so.
